GATEMATE 18 Inch (450mm) Galvanised Double Strap Hinge Set with Adjustable Hooks on Plates

The GATEMATE 18 Inch (450mm) Galvanised Double Strap Hinge Set with Adjustable Hooks on Plates is a strong and reliable hinge set designed for hanging 3 Inch (75mm) thick wooden field gates, driveway gates and pedestrian entrance gates. The double strap design gives excellent support to the gate frame, making it suitable for larger timber gate installations where strength, stability and adjustment are important.

The top and bottom bands sit on both sides of the gate and are bolted through the gate stile and rails, helping create a secure and supported fixing. This makes the hinge set a practical choice for timber gates where a stronger fitting is needed compared with a standard tee hinge or lighter gate hinge.

Supplied with adjustable hooks on plates, this hinge set allows the gate to be adjusted during and after installation. This helps compensate for gate sag, gate drop or post movement over time, making it easier to keep the gate aligned and working correctly.

The galvanised finish provides outdoor weather protection and helps improve durability for long-term gate installations. The top adjustable hook-on-plate can also be mounted upside down to help prevent unwanted gate removal, depending on the installation setup.

This hinge set includes a double strap top band, double strap bottom band, adjustable hook-on-plates and fixings. For a complete gate installation, pair this hinge set with suitable timber gate posts, latches, locks and fixings from our gate furniture range.
